Are you a victim of IBLP?

Bruster PLLC represents victims of sexual abuse by IBLP leaders and members. Our investigation has revealed shocking facts about the IBLP culture, and the terrible abuse suffered by far too many girls in, and because of, that culture. Men and boys allegedly took advantage of specific characteristics of IBLP culture to carry out and conceal their sexual abuse of girls. Many allege that these characteristics include teachings and actions that:

Created and Sustained

A system of rigid patriarchal authority

Demanded

Unquestioning loyalty from girls

Shamed

Girls who dressed or acted in any way other than as required by IBLP

Obsessed

Over sexuality

Blamed

Victims of sexual assault for what IBLP men and boys did to her

FAQ

Answering Your Questions

If you have any questions about IBLP Abuse, please contact us in any convenient way, and also read the information below.

  • Can victims of sex abuse sue for damages?

Yes. Sex abuse can be a crime, and it also can be a basis for bringing a civil suit. In the criminal justice system, the state controls the process, and the objective is punishing the abuser, not compensating the victim. Also, not all sexual abuse is prosecutable as a crime. In the civil justice system, victims of sexual assault can seek justice through compensation for their injuries. Different rules of procedure and standards of proof often allow for a civil case when a criminal case is not a possibility.

  • Who would handle my case?

The experienced attorneys and staff at Bruster PLLC are committed to Practicing Law with a Higher Purpose. We work tirelessly for our clients to secure the best possible outcomes. We will handle your case with empathy and professionalism and seek to advance the healing process.

  • Will I have to pay fees and expenses out-of-pocket?

No. In these cases, we advance all expenses and do not receive any fee unless our client obtains a recovery. You won’t have to pay anything unless we win. Reimbursement by the client for expenses and payment of fees comes only from the recovery.

  • Will my communications remain confidential?

Yes. When you contact Bruster PLLC to discuss your case and your rights, the communications are completely confidential and privileged from disclosure. This applies even if you do not hire us to represent you.

  • What if I was abused long ago?

There are time limits for filing civil suits, but in sex abuse cases the victim may have a longer-than-normal time to sue. Also, when the victim was a minor at the time of the abuse, the time usually does not begin until the victim turns 18. Finally, there may be a discovery rule that extends the time to sue. These issues all depend heavily on the facts of the case, so if you think you may have a case, you should contact an attorney promptly and learn your rights.

  • Will anyone believe me?

Sexual predators rely on shame, fear, and intimidation to keep their victims silent. One weapon they use is telling the victim that no one will believe her or him. While we cannot guarantee any outcome in any case, at Bruster PLLC we promise that we want to help sex abuse victims whenever we can, that we have helped them in the past, and that we will listen to your story – sympathetically and without judgment. Many brave victims who came before you were believed and prevailed.

Testimonials

What Our Clients Are Saying

These testimonials serve as a testament to our firm's reputation and the trust our clients place in us to handle their legal needs.

"In early 2023 Shawn Latchford and John Hull represented my interest in an arbitration proceeding. They kept me informed with progress updates, communicated often and thoroughly and walked me through my role in proceedings. I found them to be knowledgeable, honest, and genuine. I highly recommend this firm.”

Elwood Larson

“We contacted Bruster PLLC after our son was hit by someone who ran a red light. John and Shawn took care of absolutely everything and went above and beyond to recover significantly more than what the other driver's insurance carrier initially offered. We hope to never find ourselves in that situation again, but if we do, we will definitely call Bruster PLLC!”
